Are colored braces for just for kids? I was thinking about getting navy blue or light blue. What colors does everybody have?

I chose to get regular silver brackets (I have a few bands on my back teeth); it was the most "cost effective" for me since I was paying. :) But my Ortho's office puts on these little rubber band looking rings (they go around the front of the bracket) that come in many colors. This is no extra cost and to me gives me the option of colors if I want them. I currently have red & green (Yes, for Christmas). And these colors are helping my 12-year old live with her braces too. See if your ortho has this same type option

I wouldn't say they're just for kids, but I no longer get colors. I try to blend in as much as possible and I realized that I didn't like how after about 2 or 3 weeks the colors started looking faded.
