    I am completely scared out of my mind and soooo very excited to say I made my appointments and my dream of gettin straight teeth is actually coming true. I wasnt sure about metal or clear braces but went with metal because I was scared of the clear staining my teeth which I guess is more likely with clear or so I was told. The ortho I am going to offers SureSmile braces but I have extractions so its not guranteed to work when someone has extractions done. I'm looking at about 2 years.. depending on how my extractions go...

    This weds I go for my molds or whatever its called and Jan 27th I come back to get my braces on. I'm using a Paid Time Off day at work for that night because I was told I'll be in some pain. Does anyone have any advice for the day I get my braces on?? Or is there anything that I should buy that would help me be more prepared to start my new life with braces??

    I'm mostly nervous to be a work with them. I do A LOT of talking with complete and total strangers and I'm 23 years old so most dont expect to see me smile and there be braces. I just dont want to feel foolish but I am so excited that I am actually doing this that I will wear them loud and proud!! :-) Getting a date... that might be a bigger issue! :-)
